Obituary of Lorraine Ownsby Mrs. Lorraine Agnes Paris Ownsby, 91, formerly of Apache Junction, AZ, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the Titusville Area Hospital, in Titusville, PA, after a battle with cancer. She was born in Warren, PA on October 15, 1927 to the late William V. and Laura Helen Smead Paris. Lorraine graduated from Warren High School, class of 1945.

She married Hugh Sidney “Sid” Ownsby on October 3, 1975 in Santa Barbara, CA. He preceded her in death in 2001. Lorraine retired from Verizon.

She was an operations supervisor for Verizon in California for many years. She volunteered at the Superstition Mountain – Lost Dutchman Museum in Apache Junction, AZ. While she was in Titusville with her sister, she would volunteer at the Drake Well Museum, Titusville Senior Center, and would attend Silver Sneakers at the YMCA.

Lorraine is survived by a sister, Jackie Bloom of Titusville, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, William “Buzz” Paris; and two sisters, Jean Ann Wickham and Virginia Hohman. No public services will be observed.
