Obituary for Mrs. Lotte Efird Lotte Karoline Strauch Efird, 95, of Asheboro, died Thursday, December 13, 2018 at her home. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro. Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, on March 29, 1923, Mrs. Efird was the daughter of the late Johann Strauch and Fanny Kraft Strauch.

She was a professional ballerina and taught ballet in several cities all over the world. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Efird was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Efird; sisters, Gerda Adams, Hanna Hill; and nephew, Chris Adams. Surviving are her sons, Robert A. Efird, of the home; Fred S. Efird, of Columbia, SC, Jimmy T. Efird, of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, Chris Efird, Kelly Efird, Soleil Efird, Jasmine Lineberry; three great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
