Obituary for Louie E. King Louie E. King, 87, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018, at the Chateau Girardeau. He was born April 20, 1931, in Leeman, Missouri, to the late Floyd E. and Zone Hodge King. Louie and Dorothy Kielhafner were married Nov.

24, 1955, at Kelso, Missouri. She preceded him in death Jan. 10, 2011.

Louie served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for Marquette Cement Co. for many years, was a truck driver for various businesses and owned his own trucking company toward the end of his career. Louie was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cape Girardeau, the Cape Girardeau Eagles Aries No.

3775 and VFW No. 3838, where he was a member of the honor guard team. He enjoyed being a volunteer alongside his wife at Saint Francis Medical Center.

Loving survivors include his son, Rick (Patty) King of San Antonio; brothers, Charles J. and Dayton L. King, both of Delta; sisters, Donna Yarbro of Cape Girardeau and Kathrine Anthony of Oran, Missouri; grandchildren, Michael (Chihiro) King and Meghan (Luke) Renfro; and great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Julia Renfro. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; four brothers, Danny, Buford, JD and Duree King; and two sisters, Nadine Crowden and Imogene Hitchcock. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Parish prayers will be at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Bobby Manso officiating. Entombment will follow with full military rites at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
