Obituary for Louis Perez Louis F. Perez, 73 of Donora, passed away following a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, August 30, 2018 in Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born on July 9, 1945 in New Eagle, PA, he was son to the late Louis J. and Frances Perez. Mr. Perez was a very family oriented man whose passion was his sons and grandsons.
He was a former soccer coach for Ringgold High School and never missed a game when his sons or grandsons played. In addition to being an avid fisherman, Louis had a love for hunting and his gun collection. He especially enjoyed building and modifying his rifles that he spent countless hours working on, reloading his ammo, and shooting.
He also loved to frequently visit his camp in Pymatuning. Louis was a member of the East Monongahela and Valley Inn Sportsman Clubs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother in-law and father in-law, Arthur and Betty Artis, a special sister in-law, Betty Ann Riggle, and a granddaughter Karlie Perez in infancy.
He is survived by his wife Joan (Artis) Perez, whom he celebrated 54 years of marriage with on August 29, 2018; two sons and two very special daughter in-laws, Frank (Tonya) Perez of Donora and Jeff (Robin) Perez of Belle Vernon; four grandsons, Jeremy, Brandon, Dylan, and Logan Perez; two sister in-laws and two brother in-laws Cindy (John) Quinto of Belle Vernon and Tammy (Bruce) Large of Monessen, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in Mr. Perez’s name. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the ANTHONY L. MASSAFRA FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE INC.
