Obituary for Mary Kosh (Marin) Mary M. Kosh, 95 of Monongahela died Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in the Residence at Hilltop, Carroll Township. Born on August 8, 1923 in Donora, Mary was a daughter of the late Philip and Anna (Kosor) Marin. A homemaker, Mrs. Kosh was a 1941 graduate of Donora High School and also attended Douglas Business School.

During World War II, Mary was a metallurgist in the chemcial lab of American Steel and Wire Co. and worked as a secretary for the German and Kayda Shop both in Donora. She was a member of the former St. Dominic Women’s Guild and Christian Mothers, the OLV Christian Mothers and Women’s Guild, the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary, the Slovene National Benefit Society, and served as the president for the Christian Mother’s Ladies Club, In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Johnn P. Kosh in 2000, and her son Capt. John K. Kosh in the Gander Newfoundland crash in 1985.

She is survived by her daughter Arlene (Eric) Carson, daughter in-law Laurel Webster; 5 grandchildren, Christopher Carson, Amanda (James) Morrison, John (Cynthia) Kosh, Helen (Jason) Profozich, and Michael (Amanda) Kosh; 7 great-grandchildren, Zander and Zoe Morrison, Wyatt, Silas, Travis, and Leo Profozich, and Lucas Kosh. Arrangements are being handled by Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Carroll Township/Donora PA 15033, (724) 379-6900. Funeral services and interment will be private.
