Godbold, age 91, of Absecon, NJ, passed away on April 29, 2019. Mr. Godbold was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and a Bronze Star and Purple Heart recipient. Early on he worked as a labor foreman and tree inspector for the city of Philadelphia.

He also was a black seal fireman, Indian guide leader for the Young Men’s Christian Association, and was a model railroad Master Builder of scenery. Louis owned and operated a commercial art business specializing in sign painting, silk screening, show cards, truck lettering layout, and oil painting. Beloved husband of the late Aucelia J. Godbold (nee Alston).

He is survived by his sons Louis “Robin” Godbold, Zimbalist Godbold, Andre Godbold, and their mother Francanna Godbold, and son Eric Godbold. Dear brother of June D. Williams. Also survived by 2 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial talk on Sunday, May 19th at 5:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 3550 Bargaintown Road, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234.
