Louise A. (Hockenbury) Pohida, 76, of Colonia, NJ passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. Born in Elizabeth, N.J. she has resided the last 10 years in Colonia. Louise was the owner of Elizabeth Yellow Cab, Linden Yellow Cab, & Latino Taxi since 1970.

She was an avid championship Pogo player. Louise also loved bowling and spending time at Disney World with her grandchildren. Mrs. Pohida was the beloved wife of the late Gerald J. Pohida, Sr. devoted mother of Gerald J. Pohida, Jr. of Rahway, Glenn and his wife Barbara of Colonia, Wayne and his wife Florence of Woodbridge, Michael of Woodbridge, David of Woodbridge, Karen Strauss and her husband Steven of Bridgewater, & Cynthia Temple and her husband William, cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren.

Visiting Wednesday 4 –8PM Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, July 12, 2018, 12:00PM, at the Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 East St. George Avenue, Linden, NJ (908)352-9190. Funeral Mass St. Cecelia R.C. Church, Iselin 1:00PM Entombment St. Gertrude Cemetery Mausoleum, Colonia.
