OBITUARY Louise “Mee-Mee” Prendergast July 26, 1931 – January 16, 2019 Louise “Mee-Mee” Prendergast passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 16, 2019. She was 87 years old. She was the daughter of the late Alma and Murphy Compton, Sr. Loving mother of Linda Kieff , and the late Mike Lasure and C. J. Calamari, Jr. Grandmother of Angela Lange (Marty), Gina LeBlanc (Steve), Charlie McLoughlin, Ricky Guerra, Jr. (Natasha), Kerry Guerra, Sr., Colby Guerra, Sr. (Nicole), and James Kieff.

Sister of Alma Gipson (Bill) and the late Lois Meyers (Arthur), Murphy Compton, Jr. (Mary), and Peggy Compton. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear relatives and friends. Louise was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish.

She was never happier than when she was working in her garden, crocheting, or doing crossword puzzles. She was much loved, and will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Louise on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at ST.

BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue Street, in Chalmette, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A service in her honor will be held at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in Garden of Memories Cemetery, in Metairie.
