OBITUARY Louise Oxenhorn September 23, 1942 – January 1, 2019 Louise Jensen Oxenhorn, 76, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 1, 2019 at the Wadsworth Glen Health Care Center in Middletown. Louise was born on September 23, 1942 in Hartford, the daughter of the late John and Alice (Lund) Jensen. She graduated from Newington High School, attended Trinity College in Deerfield, IL and was a graduate of the Butera School of Art in Boston, MA.

Louise lived in Wethersfield most of her life and was a member of the Wethersfield Evangelical Free Church. She was a Graphic Artist at Elrich and Company in South Windsor, Ace Printery in Hartford, and a Layout Artist at New England Typographic Service in Bloomfield. In addition, Louise had extensive experience as a Staff Artist for the State of Connecticut, as well as Wilson, Haight & Welch in Hartford and with the Travelers Insurance Company.

Louise loved horses from an early age and always wanted a horse of her own. That became a reality when she purchased a beautiful Belgian Draft Horse. Her love for “Cody” lasted for over 23 years!

Louise leaves her brother, John A. “Jack” Jensen and wife Audrey; her sister, Lynn Nappi and husband Mark, all of Wethersfield. She also leaves her three nephews, Matthew Jensen and wife Suzanne of Dundee, OR, Mark Jensen of Pittsburgh, PA and Luke Jensen and wife Mary Kay of Wethersfield, as well as several grand-nieces and grand-nephews and Edward, a very dear and longtime Jensen family caregiver and friend. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Wadsworth Glen Health Care Center and Athena Hospice for their compassion and care given to Louise.

Funeral services and burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in honor of Louise may be made to Wethersfield Evangelical Free Church, 511 Maple St., Wethersfield, Ct. 06109 or to the donor’s choice.
