Obituary for Lowell Emery Fullmer This is the story of Lowell Emery Fullmer, September 15, 1949 to January 1, 2019. Lowell’s story began on September 15th, 1949 at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was the second of four children born to Barbara and Blaine Fullmer and was a mischievous and fun-loving child.
Lowell graduated from Highland Highschool in 1968 and shortly after joined the army national guard where he was honored to serve his country. In October of 1972 he married his first wife, Cydnee Anne Busby Fullmer, and together they welcomed three children. Lowell and Cyd had many adventures raising their young family, some of which included the annual trip Jackson Hole, Bow Hunting in the trailer and countless weekends and holidays at the family cabin and St. George Condo.
Lowell’s fun, playful and teasing personality drew people to him, and he was a good friend to many. The Fullmer household was home to neighborhood parties, barbecues, and card games for many years. After 35 years of marriage, Lowell and Cyd decided to go their separate ways but remained good friends.
In 2000, he met Nicole at the University of Utah where he worked as an electrician for 37 years. They would spend the rest of his life together. In Lowell and Nicole’s time together they moved to Wyoming, then Oregon, near the beach which Lowell loved, and then back to his family in Utah where he spent his final years.
Lowell also acquired a 13-year-old stepdaughter in 2009 after he and Nicole had only been married a year. Although rough in the beginning, they developed a special relationship throughout the 9 years she lived with them. Lowell was a straight shooter with an incredible work ethic.
He was the first to offer his help and the first to tell you that you did it wrong. Lowell could fix anything. He loved cars and Harley Davidson motorcycles, which included breaking them apart to restore and put back together.
He always said, “If you take care of your tools, they will take care of you”. To know Lowell was to love him and he will be deeply missed. Loved ones who cleared the path for Lowell were his parents, Blaine and Barbara Fullmer, brother-in-law Jeff Busby, mother-in-law Barbara Busby, mother-in-law Jean Robinson, and family friend Robert “Beau” Clayton.
Loved ones who will miss him until they meet again are his wife Nicole, daughter Adriane Moeller (Matt), daughter Ashlee Racine, son Bronson Fullmer (Abby), and step-daughter Kai Cervantez (Dustin); grandchildren Makailee Racine, Makenzie Racine, Tristan Vahn, Ella Moeller, Lincoln Moeller, Avery Moeller, Grayson Fullmer and Keegan Fullmer; Siblings Sue Nelson (Brent), JoAnn Hall, Scott Fullmer (Erin), and Sondra Fredrickson, former wife and friend Cydnee Fullmer and father-in-law Sidney “Ralph” Busby; as well as the beloved family dog Norman. The family would like to extend a special thank you to First Choice Hospice, specifically Bailey, Jason, Heather, Ann and Dana for the tender care and love they showed Lowell in his final months. Services will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2019.
Friends and family are invited to attend a viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints building located at 1911 E Gray Fox Drive, Draper, UT 84020. Following the viewing there will be a graveside service at Larkin Sunset Gardens; 1950 E Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, UT 84092. Immediately following the graveside service, a Celebration of Life honoring Lowell will take place at the MegaPlex Events Center, Houston Room; 9335 S State Street, Sandy, UT 84070.
