LTC Michael’s Obituary LTC Michael Emery Fellure died on January 29, 2019 at his home with his loving wife, Katie by his side, at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. He was born to Julia LeMaster and Larry K. Fellure on June 9, 1971 in Huntington, West Virginia.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Katie; their children Jack and Sophia; his parents; sister Jennifer Watson and her husband Carson; brother Larry K. Fellure, Jr and his wife Alicia; nephews Derrick and Sean; niece Emma; and great nieces Clara and Willa. LTC Fellure served in the Unites States Army for over 22 years. He served two combat tours in Iraq with the 2nd Infantry Division 3/2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team, as well as tours in Bosnia (10th Mountain Division), South Korea (25th Transportation Battalion), Germany (21st Theater Sustainment Command), Saudi Arabia (OPM-SANG) and the Professor of Military Science at Arkansas State University Army ROTC Department.

His military decorations and awards include the Legion of Merit (Posthumously), Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (3 Oak Leaf Clusters), Parachutist Badge and Combat Action Badge. His education includes a Master of Science from University of Kansas in Supply Chain Management and a Bachelors Degree from University of North Florida. Michael and Katie traveled the world along with their children as an Army family.

Mike was an avid runner, usually with his Black Lab, Murphy, by his side. He was also a life long motorcyclist, photographer, railroad enthusiast and railroad historian. Michael was dedicated to his children, loved to sing Karaoke (especially Elvis) and was known for his compassion and sense of humor.

Mike will be missed every day by his wife, family and Army family around the world. Services for LTC Fellure will be held at Heritage Oaks Mortuary on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. A public viewing will be held from 5pm – 9pm.

His family will be receiving visitors from 5pm – 7pm. A memorial service will be held at 6 pm. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 8:30am for Military Honors at Ft.

Sam Houston National Cemetery at 9:30am. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks for donations in Michael’s honor to The Esophageal Cancer Awareness Association ECAA or Cocktails and Chemo, which are non-profit organizations that support cancer patients and caregivers.
