Lucille A. Philbrook-Damon 1935-2018 GARDINER – Lucille A. Damon, “Nana”, 83, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018, surrounded by her family. Lucille was born in Etna, Maine on April 11, 1935. She attended Carmel High School and graduated in 1953.

Upon graduation, she married the love of her life Keith Damon. She dedicated her career to caring for others and running her boarding home for disabled veterans for over 45 years. She was also employed by Maine General Medical Center, the Maine Veterans Home, Hannaford, and Uplift.

She loved spending time with her family and friends and never missed an opportunity for good conversation. She enjoyed visiting local restaurants and drinking her favorite beverage, Pepsi. Lucille was predeceased by her her parents Annie and Kenneth Philbrook; siblings Ralph Philbrook and Marlene Foster; husband Keith Damon; sons Scott and Kennard Damon; special aunts Gene Elston and Hazel Young and her dachshund Sir Winslow.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Thibeau and husband Randy; son Tony Damon and wife Kathy; grandchildren Meagan, Mariah and Tyler Damon and his girlfriend Lexi Bernier, Shelby Thibeau and her fiancé DJ McNaughon, Hayley and Kelsi Thibeau; great grandson Maxwell Trussell; brothers Donnie Philbrook and wife Lucy, Forest Philbrook and wife Nancy, Kenneth Philbrook and wife Norma, Robert Philbrook and wife Marie; sister-in-law Carol Philbrook and many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff at Maine General Medical Center One West for their excellent care and compassion. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, August 1st from 4-6 PM at Staples Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 53 Brunswick Ave.
