Online condolences if the family may be left at www. reedculver.com. Lucille Holmes-Randolph was born on September 29th, 1932 in Claremore, OK, the daughter of Pidgeon and Bertha (Rattlingourd) Holmes.

She graduated from school then decided to begin her working career at Holly Manufacturing as a factory worker. She was blessed with seven daughters and three sons. She loved to care for her family.

She was a great gardener and spent quite a bit of time raising beautiful vegetables and flowers for her family and friends. She was an avid music lover and liked country western, gospel, you name it, and liked to go dancing on a Saturday night. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t sew by hand or cook in her kitchen, the chicken and dumplings and crème pies were the best!

Early morning, she could be found with her cup of coffee, enjoying the sunrise with a word search puzzle. She was proud of her Cherokee heritage and spoke Cherokee fluently all of her lifetime. Lucille was strong, independent and stubborn, and possessed a “I can do it myself” attitude.

There was nothing better than spending the day out in the countryside looking for a special bargain to add to her collectibles. Grandchildren were the biggest blessing in life and she adored any chance she had to rock them or spend time and care for them. She was always there for her family, giving them sound advice, encouraging them to try their best, and loving them unconditionally.

She passed from this life on December 4th, 2018 at her home in Sallisaw. She was 86 years old and will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, two sons, Raymond Owl and Benny Bush, and two daughters, Lucy Owl and Annie Bearpaw, and one grandson, Anthony Owl.

Those left to remember this remarkable woman include her granddaughter, Marla Hubbard and husband Daniel of the home in Sallisaw which also acted her caregivers. She has one son, Ronnie Bush of Sallisaw, and five daughters, Louella Studie, Leola Lee and husband James, Debra Owl Bailey, Sandra Owl Livers, and Katherine Chrisp. She leaves two brothers and one sister, Virgil and Dave Holmes and Mary Nofire all of the Tahlequah area.

She lives on in her 24 grandchildren, Russell Bearpaw, DeWayne Bearpaw, Raymond Studie, Renee Studie, Amy Studie, Kevin Lee, Robert Lee, Trish Lee, Samuel Bush, Dustin Bush, Cody Bush, Alicia Young, Reyna Bailey, Brian Bailey, Jerrad Livers, Kimberely Fields, Latrisha Livers, Patricia Livers, Vaerie Livers, Shoshanna Shockey, Shaylea Livers, and Nathanial Livers.
