Obituary for Lucille Tex 94 year old Lucille Tex of Pana died Friday, November 16 at 12:45 at her residence in rural Pana. Cremation rites have been accorded. Lucille was born August 15, 1924 in Pana, the daughter of Walter Lee and Gussie (Workman) Koons.

She grew up on the family farm southeast of Pana with her two sisters and brother. She was a graduate of Tower Hill High School Class of 1942. Lucille Koons and Joe Tex were united in marriage on February 7, 1948 in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Pana.

Joe died Saturday, September 15, 2012. Lucille was a homemaker and lifelong member of St. Patrick’s Church. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Nick Tex, his wife Ann of Scottsdale Arizona and Mike Tex, his wife Lisa of Decatur.

Grandsons: Tony, Dr Christopher, David Tex all of Scottsdale Arizona and Chet Tex of Decatur. Granddaughters Amy Tex Gill, husband Dr. Pavi Gill of Taylorville, Tina Tex Perkins, husband Will of Pana and Chelsie Tex of Moweaqua, eight great grandchildren. Lucille was preceded in death by her husband Joe, two sisters, a brother and grandson Jonathan.
