Lucille is survived by daughter Laurie Foley, niece Lynne Robbins Christen and husband Hank Christen, great nephew Eric Christen and family, great nephew Ryan Christen and family, sister-in-law Carolyn Foley, nephew Bruce Foley and family, nephew Blake Foley and family, and nephew Johnny Foley and family. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert W. Foley, parents Charles Woodham and Ruby Butler Woodham, sister Mary Nell Woodham Johnson, and brothers Robert Woodham and Edward Woodham.

It is only fitting that Lucille passed away on Valentine’s Day because she was love and everyone loved her. She loved cooking, entertaining people at the Shack on the farm, fishing for catfish at the pond on the farm, and playing chicken foot dominoes with family and friends. Lucille loved her hometown and the people that made it such a special place for her.

It was truly her community and where she always wanted to be. She was often fondly referred to as Mrs. Opp. Lucille was an active member of Trail Masters, The Historical Society, and First Baptist Church of Opp.

The Fountain at the end of Main Street was named after her and is a daily reminder of her love for Opp. Lucille was able to remain in her home up until her death, which was one of her biggest wishes. This was made possible by her fantastic caregivers who were more like family than caregivers.

Thank you to Juanita Jacobs, Bridget Jacobs, Teresa Holcomb, Rhonda Stanley, Pam Eller and the staff of DaySpring Hospice. A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 2 at First Baptist Church of Opp. The family will receive visitors at 1:30 pm, with the service beginning at 2 pm, Pastor Randy Breedlove presiding.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests donations to First Baptist Church of Opp, Trail Masters, the Opp Historical Society, or the American Spaniel Club Foundation Eye Study at the University of Pennsylvania.
