Ludis Klavsons , age 84, of Fairmount and formerly of Frankton, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital. He was born in Latvia on July 5, 1934, to the late Karlis and Milda (Nodievs) Klavsons. He came to the United States as a child with his family during World War II and has resided in the Frankton area most of his life.

Ludis served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. After his time in service Ludis worked at Nichols and Files in Anderson and then State Plating in Elwood until his retirement. He was a member of the Frankton American Legion.

Ludis enjoyed fishing and loved sports of all kinds. Ludis is survived by his two daughters, Jackie (husband Jay) Martz, Machelle (husband Jeremy ) Embery; step-daughter Stephanie Seal; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Ida Cerins; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Klavsons.

A private family service at Harper and Dunnichay Funeral Home is what Ludis has requested. The United States Army and the Elwood V.F.W.
