Luella Mae Strine, 80 of Ashland died Monday November 12, 2018 at University Hospitals Samaritan Medical Center. She was born January 24, 1938 in Richland Co. the daughter of John and Mary Ingram Jackson. She was a medical staff secretary for Samaritan Hospital.

Luella enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. She was an excellent seamstress and tailor, a master quilter and an avid Cleveland Indians fan. She is survived by her husband, Dean Strine to whom she was married December 31, 1955, three daughters, Sondra (Brian) Roberts of Dolores, Colorado, Julie (Rick) Shay of Ashland, and Karen (Brian) Stone of Pataskala, 7 grandchildren, Tonya Huff, Mandi (Ivan) Huff, Valerie (Lee) Blodgett, Justine Shay, Jessica Stone, Gabriel Stone and Adam Shopbell, 7 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, and a sister, Joan Ford of Washington, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Richard Dean Strine Jr., and 2 sisters, Patricia Tharp and Carolyn Wachter. Memorial services will be 12:00 PM Saturday November 17, 2018 at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with Brian Stone officiating. Burial will be in Vermillion Cemetery.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
