Obituary of Luella S. Claffey Luella S. (Shaw) Claffey, 89, of Jeffersonville, PA, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born in Canton, OH on January 8, 1929 and was raised in Conshohocken, PA. Luella has lived in Jeffersonville, PA for over 60 years.

She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church of Conshohocken, PA, where she was very active with the knitting club and the longest member to support its Easter egg making fundraising efforts. She worked with the Pathway School as a secretary and with Westover Golf Club as their Banquet Manager. Luella enjoyed bowling, knitting, and crocheting.

She most enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Charles E. & Mary Alice (Miller) Shaw. Beloved wife of the late Thomas P. Claffey.

Survivors include her two daughters: Carol (& Thomas) Brady of East Norriton, PA and Kim C. (& William) Doyle of Norristown, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Tamara (& Joe Armbruster) Brady, Holly (& Patrick Falcone) Brady, Lindsay Brady, Jessica (& Mark Nelson) Brady, Craig (& Jess Novak) Doyle & Meghan (& Barry Fields) Doyle; and her great grandchildren: Gavin Brady, Makenzie Nelson & Thomas Falcone. Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Earl Shaw, E. Wayne Shaw & Charles Shaw; as well as a sister, Alice Bate.

Her Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM from St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 508 Harry Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428. Rev. Bryan Penman will officiate.

Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Church. Interment will take place in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, PA. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to: American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 879, Hershey, PA 17033.
