Luis was born in Puerta Plata, Dominican Republic, one of eight children. He worked in Agriculture for many years on his own farm in the Dominican Republic before moving to New York.

He was a great man, great father always happy. He is survived by his wife, Ytria Gonzalez, three sons, Pedro, Felix and Carlos Lopez Gonzalez. Also, survived by his three daughters, Fiordaliza, Denia, and Elia Lopez Gonzalez.

Luis is predeceased by his son Luis M. Lopez Gonzalez, and one daughter Judith Lopez Gonzalez. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 PM Monday, February, 11, 2019. Luis’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at St Peter’s and St Mary’s Church, 115 Broadway, Haverstraw, NY.

Burial will follow at St Peter’s Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY.
