Obituary for Mr. Lumus James Lastrapes Sr Mr. Lumus James Lastrapes, Sr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Bellevue Street Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mr. Lumus Lastrapes, Sr., 68, who entered eternal rest, Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at his residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Park.

Mr. Lastrapes is survived by five children, Marlo Lastrapes, Sr. of Opelousas, LA, Lumus Lastrapes, Jr. (Lashonda) of Opelousas, LA, Naomi Lastrapes of Opelousas, LA, John Lastrapes (Celina) of Killeen, TX and Travis Colla (Janelle) of Opelousas, LA; a sister, Carol Ann Lastrapes of Opelousas, LA; two brothers, Harold Lastrapes (Marie) and Michael Lastrapes both of Opelousas, LA; 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Lastrapes was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Jo Lastrapes Sias & Roland Handy; a brother, Zachery Ray Lastrapes; a sister, Patricia Ann Brown; an aunt, Alice Mae Edmond; an uncle, Lawrence Lastrapes, Sr. and a great aunt, Nita Thibodeaux. Visiting hours will be observed from 7:00 AM to 10:45 AM Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Bellevue St. Baptist Church.
