Lunez Wilson Sain, 98, of Lawndale, closed her eyes in her earthly home and opened them again in the arms of Jesus on Thursday, November 8, 2018. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother. She will be sorely missed.

Born in Lincoln County on, August 7, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Burgin Wilson and Janie Leatherman Wilson. She was a member of Laurel Hill United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death… Read More » by her husband, Forrest Junior Sain and three sisters, Inez Houser, Bright Carswell, and Arlee Canipe.

She is survived by three daughters, Sue Short (Ronald), Carolyn Palm (Mark) and Forrestene Sain; three grandchildren, Theresa Greene (Dawn), Dale Short (Robin) and Gary Short (Nicole); eight great-grandchildren, Ashley Craft (Barry), Heather Chavez (Chris), Joshua Craig (Michelle), Matthew Short, Cody Short, Hannah Short, Taylor Short, and Hunter Short; and four great-great-grandchildren, Isla Chavez, Pierce Chavez, Caitlyn Craig, and Emerson Craft. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church. The funeral service will be held on Sunday at 3:00 PM at Laurel Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev.

Patricia Byers officiating. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Laurel Hill United Methodist Church, 8364 W. Hwy. 27, Vale, NC 28168.
