Obituary for Luther Lee Kirby, Sr. Evans, Ga. – Luther Lee Kirby, Sr., 81, husband of Shirley E. Kirby, entered into rest on December 13, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at the Augusta First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor F. Joseph Lennon officiating with Full Military Honors accorded.

Mr. Kirby, a native of West Virginia, was retired First Sergeant from the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam. He was the owner of Kirby Locksmith for over 20 years. Survivors include his wife, Shirley E. Kirby; three sons, Luther Kirby, Jr. (Dianne), Gregory Kirby (Susan) and Scott Kirby; one brother, Richard Kirby; three sisters, Glenna Fitzwater, Sylvia McGuire and Patty Miller; Grandchildren, Gregory Kirby, Jr. (Jamie), Brian Kirby (Brennan), Jordan Kirby, Cody Bramlett, Chloe List (Luke) and Hunter Kirby; Great-grandchildren, Braden, Blakely and Ryann.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Blake Kirby. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Augusta First Church of the Nazarene, 2044, Lumpkin Road, Augusta, GA 30906 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 106 SRP Drive, Suite A, Evans, GA 30809. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the Augusta First Church of the Nazarene.
