Lyle A Davis, 88, of Wallsburg, UT passed away peacefully on January 16, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his family. Lyle was born December 17, 1930 in Wallsburg, UT to Willard Davis and Elizabeth Boren Davis. He was raised in Wallsburg, and was educated in Wasatch County.

Lyle married Ida Gardner, and together they had 4 children; Keith, Shirley, Verna and Patty. They were later divorced. He then married Bonnie Pyper, who had 3 children of her own; Gail, Jeanne, and Jeffrey.

Together they had a son; Kenny Lyle retired from USS Geneva Steel works in 1985 after 38 years of service. Following his retirement from Geneva Steel in 1985, Lyle served two terms as the Mayor of Wallsburg. During that same time period he delivered newspapers, maintained the Town Cemetery, the Town Park, and maintained and reserved the Town Hall.

Many memories were made through his affiliation with High School Rodeo. He was the first one there to help his sons, and grandsons in Bull Riding. He loved and supported the cowboys, the sport, and his door was always open to any, and all of them.

Through the years he participated in Chariot Racing, as well as showing halter horses. At one time he trained race horses, and still enjoyed going to the horse races as recently as this past summer. Lyle enjoyed visiting with his friends and neighbors, spending time with his family, and had the biggest heart ever.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Lyle is survived by his children: Shirley Wallace (Mark) Pendleton OR; Gail “G P” Sessions (Maria), Orting, WA; Jeanne McNeil, American Fork; Kenny Davis (Toni) Saratoga Springs; Verna Carnesseca (Brad) Mesquite, NV; Patty Krom Pendleton OR. ; 23 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 11 great, great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife Bonnie; sons Keith and Jeffery; his parents; 11 siblings; and a granddaughter. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 26th 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.@ Probst Ranch 2020 West Canyon Road, Wallsburg. Family and friends are invited to attend and to share their memories of Lyle.
