Lynda’s Obituary Lynda Carol Conner, 64, of Lafayette died Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at St. Mary Healthcare Center. She was born December 23, 1954 in Williamsport to the late Charles and Hazel (Bowmen) Conner. Lynda was a graduate of Harrison High School and then continued her education at Lafayette Beauty Academy receiving her certification in cosmetology.

Lynda returned to school and earned her Associates Degree in Business from Indiana Business College. She worked at Purdue as a clerk in the Registrar’s office. Lynda loved cats and reading.

She also enjoyed shopping, playing games, and reading on her computer. As a girl, she was a member of 4-H, and the International Order of Rainbow for Girls. She enjoyed helping people and worked as a Candy Striper when she was young.

She is survived by her 2 brothers, Larry and Gary Conner; her mother’s twin brother, Uncle Harry Bowmen; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in Lynda’s name to Almost Home Humane Society, 1705 South 2nd Street, Lafayette, IN 47905.

Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Soller-Baker Funeral Home, Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette with Pastor Rich Stoll officiating. Interment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, 1718 W. 350 North, West Lafayette, IN 47906.
