Lynn Schaefer March 08, 1947 – February 23, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Lynn Schaefer, 71, of Rock Springs, Wyoming passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 at his home. He was a resident of Rock Springs for the past twenty-five years and was a former resident of Powell, Wyoming. He was born March 8, 1947 in Minot, North Dakota, the son of Leonard Schaefer and Edna Fuchs Schaefer.

Mr. Schaefer attended schools in Powell, Wyoming and was a graduate of the Powell High School with the class of 1965. He served United States Army during Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Schaefer married Marjorie “ Marj” Brolin in Cody, Wyoming on December 22, 1972.

He was employed by BJ Services for thirty-five years and retired as a sales manager in 2013. Mr. Schaefer was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Community. His interests included golfing, fishing, camping and brewing beer.

Survivors include his wife Marjorie “Marj” Schaefer of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one son Christopher Schaefer and wife Maggie of Rock Springs; one daughter Elizabeth Schaefer of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two brothers Allen Schaefer of Gillette, Wyoming and Keith Schaefer and wife Brenda of Powell, Wyoming; two sisters Judi Buckingham and husband Gary of Powell, Wyoming and Joyce Bales and husband Tom of Cody, Wyoming; two grandchildren Nicholas Schaefer and Emily Schaefer both of Rock Springs, Wyoming; one great-granddaughter Adlie Schaefer of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two aunts, one uncle and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother James Schaefer. Following cremation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 1, 2019 at the Saints Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, 633 Bridger Avenue, Rock Springs, Wyoming.

Military Honors and Inurnment will take place at the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services.
