Obituary for Mabel Bell Slater Mabel Bell Slater, 90, of Columbus passed away on June 10, 2018. Mabel was born on September 29, 1927 in Gallipolis, Ohio to the late Charles and Sarah Jane Eblin. Mabel formerly attended the Fourth Avenue Church of God.

Mabel enjoyed cooking, gardening, ceramics, and bowling. Mabel is survived by her children; Bruce Baker, Beverly (Bruce) Mounts, Steve Baker, Judy (Doug) Davis; grandchildren, Scott, Vince, Michelle, Jason, Kelly, and Phillip; great-grandchildren, Nick, Brayden, Hogan, Madison, Lincoln, Parker, and Simon. Mabel was the only surviving child of ten other siblings.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Slater, and numerous bothers and sisters. Mabel will be remembered by her infectious smile and how she lit a room up with her presence. Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the RUTHERFORD FUNERAL HOME AT POWELL 450 W. Olentangy Street Powell, Ohio 43065.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association.
