Mabel’s Obituary Mabel Blanche Nagel, 103, of Madison, AL, formerly of Sedalia, died Thursday, January 24, 2019 at her home. She was born August 2, 1915 on the Drake farm near LaMonte, MO, a daughter of the late James Chester and Velma Blanche (Noland) Drake. She was united in marriage to William Frederick Nagel, of Hughesville, MO on March 3, 1935 in Sedalia.

She was a 1932 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School and was a member of Stewart Avenue Church of Christ. Surviving are a daughter, Susan White of Madison, AL; 2 grandchildren, Mark Sanderson and Greg White; 8 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; nieces Sherry (Nagel) Thompson and Mary Frances Wheeler; and nephews Donald Drake, Richard Nagel and Robert Nagel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, William F. Nagel on March 3, 1994; a daughter, Nancy Caldwell; two grandchildren, Lori Sanderson and Andy White; and two brothers, Harold and Herbert Drake.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Houstonia Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Stewart Avenue Church of Christ, in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel.
