Mabel June Swafford, 73, of De Soto, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at her home. Mabel was born January 8, 1945, in Logansport, Indiana, to Granville and Betty Loraine (Martin) Guy. She married Gayle Eugene Swafford on December 24, 1989, in Marengo, Indiana.

She is survived by her children, David D. Ward II, Jackie Hollowell, James Cullen, Guy Cullen, Alwyn Cullen, and David C. Ward; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and siblings, Austin Guy and Lillie Gordon. Mabel was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, June Gonzalez; and brother, Robert Guy. She worked as a CNA for nursing homes in Indiana.
