Mae’s Obituary Mae B. Lenox left this earth for her heavenly home on January 3, 2019. On July 27, 1935, Sidney and Maner Simpson welcomed the birth of their daughter they named Mae B. Simpson. Mae accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.

This relationship with her “Three Best Friends” (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) directed the course of the rest of her life. Mae devoted her life to caring for her family as a devoted wife and mother of seven children. She was a military-wife who traveled with her husband to various duty stations, and maintained the family while he was overseas.

After her children were grown, Mae worked as a home health aide caring for the elderly. Her passions were reading and sharing the Gospel story. She was always encouraging with Words like, “Remember, it’s working to the good,” and her long-time favorite to life’s perplexities, “The Holy Ghost will show you”.

Her legacy can be summed up as “Seek first God and His Kingdom; God will provide the rest”. Mae Lenox was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie J. Lenox and oldest daughter, Barbara F. Giles. She leaves to cherish her in memory six children, Clintona Giles-Peters (Larry), of Prescott, AR, Ollie F. Holtzclaw (Jeffrey), of Tyler, TX, Roger S. Lenox (Lori) of Dallas, TX, Sidney D. Lenox (Linda) of Wichita, KS, Glenda S. Copeland (Joe) of Suffolk, VA and Micah A. Lenox (Daphne) of Norfolk, VA; one sister, Narvell Johnson of Chicago, IL; twenty-one grandchildren: Sidney Giles; Jamal Johnson; David Giles; Bridgett, Larry and Amber Peters; Mariah, Maya, Noah and Louie Lenox; Angela, Cameo and Sydney Lenox; Jasmine Vann; Imani Wood; Jeremy Lenox; Jevedia Martin, Joe III and Jordan Copeland; and Anna and Claire Lenox; and a host of great-grandchildren, other family and friends.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Mt. Ephesus Baptist Church, 1000 Moore St, Prescott, Arkansas 71857. Romans 8:28 Amplified Bible (AMP) 28 And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.
