Mamie Bohler Godfrey Lawler, 92, of Martinez, Georgia, entered into rest on Monday, December 24, 2018 at Kentwood Nursing facility, surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by husbands Tyler Godfrey and Neal Lawler, son Larry Godfrey, grandson Brett Godfrey, eight brothers and sisters. Mamie was employed at Lily Tulip in Augusta for over 30 years.

Born in Columbia County, lived in Martinez and Augusta area her entire life. Grandma lived life to the fullest and enjoyed traveling, gardening and Fishing. She loved her children Pat Hickson (Jimmy), Gregg Godfrey (Elaine) daughter in law Carol Taylor and eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to Graveside services on January 5, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Chaplain Mike Sides officiating. The family would also like to express their sincere and grateful appreciation to the staff of Homestead Hospice and UEC Kentwood Nursing Home, for all their tender loving care provided their beloved Mother. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Melanoma Research Foundation in memory of Brett Godfrey.
