Mamie Olivia “Tee” Adams Howell Lassiter, 92 passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2019 in Moss Point, MS. She was born on July 27, 1926, in Basin, MS to Lee Adams and Myrtle Bond Adams.

During her life she was a sitter and caregiver for over 40 years. She enjoyed volunteering at the local library where she was voted “Volunteer of the Year” twice. She also enjoyed traveling with friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lassiter was preceded in death by her sisters, Maxine Goff, Clara “Toddie” Nelson Olsen, Myrtle Adams and a brother, Richard Adams, as well as husbands, Ford Howell and Guy Lassiter. She is survived by her children, Gloria (Rhett) Johnson, Carol (William) Mars, and Jay (Joann) Lassiter; grandchildren, Rhett F. (Kristie) Johnson, Angie Kilpatrick, Eliska (Lenny) Belcher, Kacie Lassiter and Susie (Jeremy) Boulware; great-grandchildren, Morgan Johnson, Laney Johnson, Olivia Boulware, Catelee Boulware, Michael Lassiter, Jay Belcher and Anthony Belcher along with many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lassiter was laid to rest on January 21, 2019 with a private graveside service at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula.
