OBITUARY Mara Jean Shepherd December 22, 1933 – January 26, 2019 Mara Jean (Atkinson) (Howard) Shepherd Age 85, retired Accountant for Martin K Eby Construction, passed away Jan. 26, 2019. Mara enjoyed baking, quilting, sewing, playing computer games, and traveling.

She also enjoyed shopping, studying genealogy, and a good bowl of ice cream. She woke up everyday to the same routine; she read her bible, prayed and would walk four miles. She was a kind and caring mother and grandmother who’s beautiful smile will be dearly missed.

She is preceded by her first husband, Franklin Howard; second husband, Fred Shepherd; parents, Walter (Elsie) and Ora Mae (Stathem) Atkinson; and brother, Walter Atkinson Jr She is survived by daughter, Debbie (Tom Linville) Ringle; step-sons, Larry, Dennis (Alyssa) and Randy Shepherd; grandchildren, Evan (Dominique) Ringle, Jenna Ringle, Larry Shepherd Jr., James Shepherd, Claire Shepherd, Nathan Shepherd, Zoe Shepherd, and Reisa (Zach) Grace; great-grandchildren, Lennon Ringle and Jetlyn Blankenship, and sister, Juanita (Bob) Blaine. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Fri.

Feb. 1, 2019, and Funeral Service 1:00 p.m. Sat. Feb.

2, 2019 both at Resthaven Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
