Marcia’s Obituary Marcia (Marcie) Louisa Johnson, age 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 4th, at Northern Pines Assisted Living in Pine City, Minnesota. Marcie was born on February 24, 1928 in Rush City, Minnesota to Joseph and Mary Hertenstein. She married Edgar Clements Johnson on August 15, 1948, moved to a farm in Pine City, Minnesota and raised 3 children.

She was a hard-working wife and mother whether it was putting in long hours at the farm or helping out friends and family members. Marcie was a loving, kind and generous spirit. She will be dearly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

Marcie is survived by her son Dale (Mary) Johnson, daughter Pat Johnson, daughter Ruth (Jim) Hall, granddaughter Sarah (Jeff) Johnson, granddaughter Jessica (Robert) Lake, grandson Bradley (Stephanie) Sparling, and great grandchildren Emma and Greyson Johnson. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Mary Hertenstein, her husband Edgar Johnson, and her grandson Richie Johnson. Pastor Fred Hanson will officiate funeral services for Marcie: 1 PM; Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Swanson Funeral Chapel.

A time for family and friends to gather will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel. Memorials preferred to: Alzheimer’s Association (for Alzheimer’s and Dementia care, support, and research) or Minnesota Humane Society Funeral arrangements are entrusted to: Funeral and Cremation Service, Swanson Funeral Chapel, Pine City, Minnesota. www.
