Margaret Baker March 19, 1925 – December 20, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Margaret Baker 1925-2018 WEST SPRINGFIELD-Margaret “Marge” (Callan) Baker, 93, of Garden Street, died Thursday at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Leominster and has lived in West Springfield for most of her life, graduating from West Springfield High School in 1943. She was a communicant of the former Immaculate Conception Church, where she was a member of the Social Club.

Marge belonged to VFW #6714 Women’s Auxiliary and to the Interfaith Parish Association. She worked for 40 years at Associated Transport before retiring in 1987. She was predeceased by her husband John E. Baker.

She leaves a son John R. Baker of West Springfield, two daughters, Patricia A. Fox and her husband Marshall of Santa Barbara, CA and Barbara Sullivan of Springfield, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren. Funeral will be Thursday at noon from West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service Thursday from 11:00am – Noon.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mercy Life/Pace Program, 200 Hillside Circle, West Springfield, MA 01089 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
