Margaret E. “Betty” Landrum, 96, of Cambridge passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Bayleigh Chase in Easton. She was born in New York City on August 28, 1921 and was the daughter of the late Charles and Margaret Holland Richardson. Mrs. Landrum graduated from Barnard School for Girls in New York City.

After, graduation she was a professional singer until 1944, when she met her husband Benjamin W. Landrum. They married on June 20, 1944 and he passed away on July 10, 1989. She loved her family, enjoyed painting, and being in musical productions.

Mrs. Landrum was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, and was a member of the Dr. Hines Bible Class. She was also a Hospice volunteer. She is survived by two sons Benjamin Landrum, Jr. and wife Julia of Reisterstown, Charles Landrum and wife Glorigem of East New Market, four grandchildren Mark Landrum, Celeste Dailey, Renee Hesson, and Charles “CR” Landrum, and seven great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 12 pm at Grace United Methodist Church with Rev. Christina Blake and Rev. Douglas M. Ridley officiating.

Interment will follow at Old Trinity Churchyard. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions can be made to Grace United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 815, Cambridge, MD 21613.

Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
