Margaret J. Meredith, “Jean”, 89, Johnstown formerly of Conemaugh, died March 8, 2019 at McCullough House. Born April 6, 1929, in Conemaugh, daughter of John and Mary (Hrivnak) Chanonich. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Wilbur “Webb”; sisters, Ann, Margaret, Marie Rego, and Irene Brazil; and brothers, George, Paul, Alex, John, and Michael.

Survived by sister, Helen Hutzel, Conemaugh; many nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much; sister-in-law Shirley Meredith; and brother-in-law, Ron (Shirley) Meredith. She was a member of Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church, and was retired from Best Form. She also worked at Fanny Farmers and Penn Traffic.

Jean enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, being with family, and she was an avid reader. Friends received from 11am until the time of service at 1pm Wednesday at Henderson-Makuchan Funeral Home, 434 First St., Conemaugh with Father Robert Oravetz. Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation, or the charity of one’s choice.
