Corle, Jerry Martin, age 75, of Johnstown, formerly of Washington D. C. passed away at home on March 4, 2019 following a courageous battle with liver disease. Jerry was born on December 25, 1943 the son of the late Ann (Cruickshank) and Kenneth Corle. He was also preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law Joan and Jim Havener and brother Joe Corle.

He is survived by his partner of 34 years Gerry Gray, sister Betty Jane Couchenour (Dan), Fort Mill SC, sister-in-law Ruth Corle, nieces Trish Corle (Rene), Jodie Corle Babich (Jack), Tammy Corle Croce (Joe), nephew Blaine Corle (Kim) and 41 additional nieces and nephews spanning 3 generations. Also survived by his cousin Genie Sedlak (Jack). He will be missed greatly by his pets Molly, Christie, and Jaimie.

Jerry graduated from Johnstown High in 1962, served in the United States Navy, and worked for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington D.C. until his retirement in 2003. Jerry was very proud of his Scottish heritage and spent his retirement years researching the history of his family. The family wishes to thank the nurses and aids from Conemaugh Hospice who helped care for Jerry during his final days.

Family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. Noon until time of service held 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, at KENNEDY’S 219 Ohio St. Johnstown, The Rev. Nancy Threadgill, officiating. Entombment Richland Mausoleum with military rites by VFW Post 155.
