Obituary for Margaret Madine Mudd Margaret Madine Mudd, 92, of Caneyville, passed away September 8, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. Mrs. Mudd was born August 1, 1926 in Caneyville to E.R. Higgs and Cora Kennedy Higgs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Mudd, Jr. in 2003; two children, Edwin and Elsie Sue, one grandson, and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Mudd was a homemaker and a member of the Grayson County Homemakers organization for many years. She was a dollmaker, making dolls for family and friends for years. She also enjoyed getting mail and had hundreds of pen pals since her youth from across the country and England.

Survivors include: two sons, Darrell (Alesia) Mudd and Marion (Sherri) Mudd, both of Caneyville; five grandchildren, Ann (Jonathan) Mercer, Lora (David) Phelps, Sara (Jason) Young, Dakota Mudd and Patrick (Maddie) Mudd; and four great-grandchildren, Emma, Renesmee, Riley and Oakley. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 11 at 1:00 PM at the Pleasant Union United Baptist Church on Wilson Church Road in Caneyville, with Bro. Micky Coates officiating.

Visitation will be Monday, September 10 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, and Tuesday, September 11 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Caneyville Memorial Chapel, 201 E Maple Street in Caneyville. Burial will be at the Wilson Cemetery at the church. Caneyville Memorial Chapel is honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Mudd.
