Margaret Marie Weed October 20, 1920 – January 29, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Margaret Marie Weed (nee Retter), 98, of Williamstown, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on January 29, 2019. Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Maple Shade before moving to Williamstown 75 years ago. Mrs. Weed worked for the Williamstown Post Office as a rural mail carrier and was the school nurse for White Hall Elementary School before retiring.

She also worked with her husband at Weed’s Lawn and Garden Mart. She was a former member and past president for both the Williamstown Middle School and Williamstown High School PTA. She was a former member and served as secretary for Lake Garrison Community Club.

She was a Girl Scout Leader and founded a girls softball team. She enjoyed watching westerns and sports, especially the Phillies. Beloved wife of the late Ralph S. Weed.

Devoted mother of Ralph J. Weed and the late Bruce S. Weed. Loving grandmother of 4 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her faithful dog Tessie.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, February 2nd from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the Farnelli Funeral Home, 504 N. Main Street, Williamstown, where a service will follow at 11:00 am. . Burial will follow in Williamstown Methodist Cemetery.
