Celebration of Life services for Margaret F. Moore de Graaf, 65, a resident of Crestview, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at First Baptist Church 171 Hickory Ave W, Crestview, FL. There will be a time of prayer and reflection at 1:00 p.m., after which the family will receive guests preceding the start of the service. Margie de Graaf passed peacefully in her sleep on December 9th, the day of the Sabbath.

She was born February 22, 1953 in Crestview, FL. Margie is the daughter of the late Richard and Delores Moore; originally from Rochester & Buffalo, NY respectively. While in high school, she was in the Glee club and went on to master track, softball, and other sports.

Her love of sports followed her into her adult years with memberships in many softball sport clubs in her local community. Margie was a stellar athlete. Margie attended Okaloosa-Walton Junior College where she studied physical education.

After working more than 10 years in the family-owned business; she accepted a position with a local Credit Union where she gave 15 years of service. Margie’s work performance was lauded by her supervisors and peers. Margie was a Christian who loved Jesus and others with a servant’s heart.

Margie was always smiling and always positive. She was an encouragement to others. She willingly gave of herself without expectation of return.

She is survived by her children: Daughter Jeannou de Graaf (Ft. Walton). Son Juett de Graaf & wife Ashley (Crestview), her grandchildren Hanna, Drew, Zyler, Caydence, Cooper, & Kinsley.

Son Judah de Graaf & wife Lori (Orlando), her grandchildren Heleena, Noah, Juliana, & Jade. Her brothers Bill Moore (Ft. Walton), Richard Moore (Ft.

Walton), Gerald Moore (CA), Johnny Moore (Crestview). Her sister’s Ann Chernosky (TX) and Sherry Mckinney of (Crestview). In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to: Dementia Society of America Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview.
