Margaret “Mage” Cabrera was born to Aurelio and Isabel Sanchez on November 8, 1941. In 1957, Margaret met the love of her life, Luciano Cabrera. They married on June 6, 1958 and spent 60 years together.

Margaret was a wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and a natural born caregiver. She loved children and helped raise many of her nieces and nephews. Margaret peacefully passed away on January 16, 2019, at home, surrounded by her beloved Lucio and daughter, Lora.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Aurelio and Isabel Sanchez; son, Johnny Cabrera, sister Catherine Padilla, brothers Andres Sanchez, Cruz Sanchez, Aurelio Sanchez Jr., and Ricky Sanchez. She is survived by her husband, Luciano Cabrera; daughter Lora Hood and husband Chris; granddaughters Tammy Esmeralda Garza and husband, Hervey; Ashlee Hood, Stacy Hyde and husband, Connor; great grandchildren Galilea Esmeralda Garza and Graciela Margaret Garza; sister Paula Garza, brothers Tommy Sanchez and Joe Sanchez; and many nieces and nephews. Margaret’s big personality and love will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
