Margaret Ferrell, age 86 of Oak Ridge, formerly of Johnson City passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Patriot Hills Assisted Living. Margaret was a Christian and a very active member of Unaka Baptist Church in Johnson City. She and her late husband, John loved western square dancing, round dancing and social dancing at JC Senior Citizen’s Center and area square dance clubs.

They also loved ballroom dancing. She was an accomplished seamstress. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert C. and Beatrice Godsey Young, husband, John Ferrell, brothers, Kenneth Young and Robert O. Young and son-in-law, Donald Reid.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Linda Reid, son, Larry Ferrell (Kitty); grandchildren, John Reid (Elesha), Brooke Graves (Ben), Lindsey Hedlund, (Aaron), Ryan Ferrell (Katie), Corey Ferrell (Brittany); great grandchildren, Grant Reid, John Gryffen Graves, Flarity Christine Hedlund, Finley Elizabeth Hedlund, Jarred Graves and Natasha Moser (Matt); sisters, Marie Geisler, Sheila Whaley brother, James Young very special friends, John and Georgie Tipton sister-in-law, Billie Young The family would like to express their thanks to Tommy Spencer and staff at Patriot Hills Assisted Living for their loving and professional care given to our Mom during this last year. God has blessed us with this special place. A Celebration of Life service is being planned for a later date.
