Obituary for Maria Elydia Longoria Edinburg/Mission, Texas Maria Elydia Longoria,59, entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. ” Qwitty “as she was known by her family, was born on April 11, 1959 in Mission, Texas to Diego and Maria Longoria. Mary,as she was known by her friends, was a former resident of La Joya before making Mission her permanent home.

Mary worked for many years in the home health industry for various companies in a wide array of positions. Mary impacted the lives of many patients. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, taking care of her beloved mother and her dog TROY.

Mary lived her life to the fullest. Mary was preceded in death by her father. Left to cherish her memory are her two sons- Jesus Maldonado (Coty),Francisco Roberto Maldonado(Nancy Valeria);Siblings-Roberto Diego Longoria, Maria Nidia Longoria;Grandchildren-Jesus Elian Maldonado, Aliah Kaylene Maldonado, and Valerie Francis Maldonado.

A memorial service will take place on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. A gathering of family and friends will follow at Rivera Funeral Home, 1901 Pecan Blvd. in McAllen from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the recital of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial or monetary contributions be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission in memory of Maria Longoria.
