OBITUARY Maria G. Contreras November 21, 1970 – November 5, 2018 Maria G. Contreras, 47, of Rockford passed away Monday, November 5, 2018 at her residences. Maria was born in Elkhorn, WI, the daughter of Stella Marinelli and Arthur Contreras. Maria was a caregiver and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Maria is survived by her mother and step-father: Stella (Brian) Marinelli; father and step-mother: Arthur (Patti) Contreras; sister Rosemary Merrell; brother Arthur Contreras; 3 nieces and 2 nephews. Visitation to celebrate Maria’s life will be Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Private committal will be Monday at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Stella to be used in Maria’s name later.
