OBITUARY Jaime Lara July 20, 1942 – December 15, 2018 Jamie Lara, 76, of Fort Worth, TX. formally of Loves Park, passed away in his home on Saturday, December 15, 2018. Born July 20, 1942 in Allaneda, Coahuila in Mexico.

Son of Nabor Lara and Leanides (Rangel) Lara. United in marriage to Kathy Hilton on May 30, 1985 in Rockford. He found enjoyment in being outdoors working in his flower gardens, body building, loved playing baseball being one of the original players on the Latin American league.

Received a Coach Award in 1994 for being a Coach. Jamie is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; son, Jamie (Patty) Lara; daughters, Kim Lara, Dana (Dean) Jones, Kristy Lopez; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; brother, Armando Lara; sister, Olga Trevino; special dog, Karmi. Predeceased by parents; sister, Stella; brother, Mario.

Celebration of Life Funeral Service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 22 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park. Visitation at 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, December 21 in the funeral home. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
