OBITUARY Edward “Ed” S Brudnowski May 24, 1928 – December 9, 2018 Edward Brudnowski Sr, 90, of Rockford, walked into the arms of his Lord and Savior in the company of his loving family on the evening of December 9, 2018. He was born May 24, 1928 in Rockford, Illinois; son of Joseph and Mary (Donbzalski) Brudnowski. He married the love of his life, Virginia “Ginny” Harvey in Dubuque, IA.

on May 21, 1949. They were together and in love for the next 68 years. Ed was a veteran of the Navy who proudly served his country before returning home to work for Estwing Mfg.

for the next 44 years before his retirement in 1994. A lifelong Chicago Cubs and Bears fan Ed enjoyed games as well the many years he and Ginny spent at their place on Lake Wisconsin. He loved his family and could always be found quietly on the sidelines of the noisy chaotic groups just enjoying the noise and the love.

Survivors include his children, Vicki (Rodney) Roy, Ed (Donna) Brudnowski Jr, Connie (Sam) Zammuto; grandchildren, Mickie Schultz, Joseph (Stacy) Roy, Melani (Ryan) Jeffrey, Randee Hanson, Stan (Stephanie) Hanson; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna Gustafson, Stella Hawkinson; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Ginny; his parents; a granddaughter, Ricki; grandson, Mike; four sisters; two brothers. The family would like to thank Mercy Health Hospice for their kind, compassionate care during his journey home.
