Obituary for Maria Lasalandra Maria Anna Lasalandra, 55, of Manalapan NJ, passed away on November 27th, 2018. She was born on October 31st, 1963 in Staten Island, NY to Joan Ann Cicchese and Vito Lasalandra. Maria graduated from New Dorp High School in 1981.

Upon graduation, she worked as a secretary for Chemical Bank in downtown, Manhattan. After leaving Chemical Bank, she worked as a Legal Secretary for 5 years at the Manhattan law firm of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley and McCloy and then at the NY law firm of Leboeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, where she was employed for 15 years. Maria relocated from Staten Island to Manalapan, New Jersey in 2014.

She was an avid lover of animals and enjoyed spending leisure time and traveling with her dogs. She also loved traveling to the Caribbean as well as spending time in Ocean City, New Jersey with her parents. She was a very big Elvis Presley fan and enjoyed taking trips to Memphis, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, Joan and Vito Lasalandra (née Cicchese), Maria is survived by her loving sister, Antonetta Ponisi of Holmdel, NJ (brother-in law Joe), her loving brother Vito Lasalandra Jr of Holmdel, NJ (sister-in law Andrea), her cherished nephew and Godson, Joseph, and her 3 loving nieces, Nicole, Ava and Laina. She is pre-deceased by her grandparents, the late Vincent and Anna Cicchese and the late Nicola and Antonietta Lasalandra. She is the beloved niece of Dorothy McKenna and the late Joseph McKenna of Staten Island and Aileen and the late Nicholas Cicchese of Port Richey, Florida.

Maria will be reposing at the Evergreen Memorial Funeral Home 1735 Route 35, Middletown, NJ 07748 on Thursday November 29, 2018 from 2 – 4pm & 7 – 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday November 30, 2018 at 9:15am at St. Catharine’s Church in Holmdel, NJ. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Staten Island, NY.
