Maria’s Obituary Maria Sanchez Rodriguez, age 97, of Brady, Texas passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2019 in Eden. Maria was born March 5, 1922 in Del Rio, Texas to Reyes Sanchez and Julia (Perez) Sanchez. She married Daniel A. Rodriguez in 1942 in Mason, Texas.

She was a homemaker. She served as the president of the Women’s Auxiliary in Guymon, OK. She enjoyed volunteering at Helping Hands.

She was a member of the El Mesias Methodist Church in Brady. Private family funeral services for Maria Sanchez Rodriguez were held 1:30 pm Friday, March 8, 2019 at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels in Brady. Interment followed at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady.

Maria Sanchez Rodriguez is survived by her son Rey Rodriguez and wife Julie of Fredericksburg, Texas; daughter Rebecca Reyes of Brady, Texas; sister Petra Aranda of Adrian, MI; grandchildren Matilda, Sandy, Daniel, Julie, Tony, Monica, Veronica, Terry, Lee, Olga, Michelle and Daniel; 28 great grandchildren, and 40 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Lee Rodriguez; daughter Yolanda Chapa; grandsons Roger Chapa and Juanito Rodriguez, and granddaughter Gracie Chapa.
