Maria Herberta Oliveira, 74, of Newark, NJ, formerly of Sutton Ave. , East Providence, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2018.

She was the wife of the late David Medina. Born Jan. 6, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Joao da Cunha Boga and the late Amelia Candida Mendes.

She leaves 3 sons, Ildeberto “Al” Medina and his companion Connie, Joao “John” Medina and his wife Eduarda, all of East Providence, and Jesse Medina of Newark, NJ; 3 grandchildren, Elizabeth, Levi and Amanda; and 6 great grandchildren, Sofia, Julia, Jacob, Vasco, Zara and Serafina. She was the sister of Jose Henrique Boga, Dagoberto Boga, Ilda Boga and the late Humberto Boga. Her funeral will begin Monday, Dec.

31, at 8:45am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Traverse St., Providence. Burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Sunday afternoon, 2pm until 5pm.
