Marian A. Heesemann, 88, of Stony Hill, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2019 at New Haven Care Center. Marian was born in Sullivan, Missouri on March 6, 1931, a daughter of the late Ralph M. & Anna Bell A. (Bates) Blanton. She was the widow of Otto A. Heesemann.

They were united in marriage on July 31, 1954, at Christy Memorial Methodist Church, St. Louis. Otto preceded her in death on February 14, 2000. Marian was a member of St. James Evangelical Church, Stony Hill, Missouri.

She worked as a secretary at Kellwood Mfg. for 20 years and enjoyed all aspects of farm life, including gardening, cooking, canning, fishing and hunting. Reading and working crossword puzzles, playing pinochle with friends, taking family trips to Branson, singing in the choir and playing bingo were also favorite activities.

Marian is survived by a brother, Aaron Blanton & wife Donna, of Midway, Arkansas, by one sister, Laverne Bodlovich, of Lake St. Louis, Missouri, and by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, Florence Braun and one brother, Don Blanton. Visitation will be held Friday, May 24th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. James Evangelical Church, Stony Hill, Missouri, where funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Rev.

Tom Lloyd officiating. Burial will be at St. James Cemetery. Memorials may be given to St. James Evangelical Church or New Haven Care Center.
